An Alice Xmas Card
Here's a Christmas Card I made for my friends online!!! I wish you all a very Merry Christmas! May your Christmas wishes come true. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and I want to greet each and everyone with a Merry Xmas!!! This card is dedicated to all of my friends and fellow Gakuen Alice fans. Mikan-chan and You-chan look so cute when I saw the scan and I immediately vectored them. Took me a while, though, but it was worth it. I managed to finish this before the actual Xmas date. Quite surprising actually.

Shugo Chara!: Has bootleg has gone too far?
You probaly see a load of bootleg (un-offical) stuff on ebay and stuff right? Its sometimes hard to tell if its offical or not. But most of the times things that are un-offical are obvious. Anyway, I was on google and found this website: http://www.salesmanb2b.com/index.php/list/i/a/shugo-chara.htmlThey call themselves the one of the largest shugo chara sellers, when all they sell is bootleg!? What do you guys think? The shugo chara stuff on the website aren't quality merch at all. Hoshino's Interview (Part 4)
The last part of Hoshino's interview has been posted. Siberia has written a summary of what happened: "this time Hoshino mainly discussed 1. the impact of switching to SQ (more or less the same as the translation posted before) 2. her message to DGM readers (its really touching) 3. her thought towards DGM storyline (the main storyline is almost fixed , no more major changes will be made but she always comes up with new ideas) 4. how she thinks about drawing facial expressions of DGM charactors. 5. how she thinks about Allen walker who would prefer hiding his thought inside 6. the scene of the 14th's appearance in front of LNL in ch.184 where the readers were shocked. 7. She might draw a manga about a soba's restaurant in the future, but Kanda will not appear definitely 8. Hoshino prefers adding some funny stories in the manga to make it lively but her editor rejected. 9. Komui, Johnny and Levvier are like normal men so they show everything on their face. But Allen isn't really like an easy charactor to draw and so far she isn't satisfied with that. (where brought out the discussion about the appearance of 14th in ch.184) 10. Hoshino cares about the details so much and she often gives difficult tasks to her assistants for drawing backgrounds. the interview is interesting overall. I have brought out some main ideas in the interview and please feel free to add anything I might have missed. I will also put a translation if no one is working on it. (its way too time-consuming XD)" strike_kun has posted French translations for all four parts. Likewise, subaru_san has translated the parts into English. Thanks! |

Saiunkoku Translation Support Group
Hi everyone, I'm new here, please pardon me if I'm doing something incorrectly. After seeing both seasons of the anime, reading the manga and reading parts of the light novels, I was motivated to set up a group on Facebook dedicated to getting the light novels translated and published in English.
I've also posted a link to an online petition I created, also dedicated to getting the light novels published in English.
If anyone is interested, the group link is here: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=197921139394 You'll need a Facebook account to join of course. The petition is posted on the discussion board in the group.
The short-term goal is to build up a support base, and get people signing the petition. From there, once I have enough signatures, then we can start talking about who to send the petition to. I've heard people talking about asking Tokyopop to publish the light novels, for example, but I've heard others say Tokyopop is almost bankrupt. There's a discussion board in the group that people can participate in, so if you have any ideas please share them there.
If you know anyone who is a fan of the series, or who might be interested in joining and lending their support, I'd appreciate it if people could pass the link on to others.

Hoshino's Interview (Part 3) & More
Part 3 of Hoshino's interview is up. Apparently she enjoys watching horror films, which makes sense. ^^ As soon as a summary or a translation comes out, I'll post it here. For the week of Nov. 30th to Dec. 6th, DGM Vol. 19 is ranked #5 for the Japanese Comic Ranking. It has sold 244,049 copies so far. Here is the second compilation book cover from Shueisha:   |
